What I discovered this week is that Patina alone is just way too much for my visual tastes, but paired with a near equal amount of earthy brown tones, it will mellow and become warm in ways that I never imagined. I don’t know why I never realized this fact in my easel painting before; perhaps it’s because I never let patina play such a prominent role in a composition. Well, now I know how to tame it, so game on.
Beyond the color analysis, Danirose sure is working that suede skirt. The men in the studio say she has “Pippa Butt”, referring to Pippa Middleton’s famous shapely backside.
Alrighty then, there are worse things, I suppose. 
Next week’s color in The Challenge is Alice Blue, which should be fun, especially if we run into the Cheshire Cat or a hookah smoking caterpillar during the search!
