Here they are: My favorite Alphabrat photographs taken during the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge!

It was fun (and eye-opening) to go back and review all of the images from the past year. It always surprises me when I realize the amount of emotional connection that I have with my own avatar and the avs of others. Isn’t it strange to look at a picture of a virtual character and say “Awww…look how much she has changed!” or “He looks so cute in that outfit; it really suits his personality.”

It sort of warps my mind – after all, they are just virtual characters!

Or are they more than that?

*whew* It took me about 3 weeks to catch up with everyone, but I was determined to finish this project. Thanks to the AlphaBrat members and everyone who hung in there with me – and especially to those who have taken time to leave a comment or two. (I’ve still got a few to respond to. I’m getting there!)

Will I be back for Color Challenge 2? I plan to be, yes. The secret for me is not to get behind, because if I do it tends to snowball.

I’ve had so much fun at the Vintage Fair – once I could finally get in there and move around, that is! When I spied this little number I knew it was just the thing for the Color Challenge selection of Cream. Pretty, huh?

The next color – the FINAL one – is Orange. I will post it tomorrow on Thanksgiving Day, when I am taking a break from the kitchen activities.

Slowly but steadily making my way towards the end of the Color Challenge… and today’s color is Mulberry. One of my favorite parts of today’s outfit is that sweet little necklace from Whippet and Buck. I like the design of it so much that I’ve started making pearl and ribbon necklaces just like it in “real life”. Adorable!

The next color on the list is Cream. It’s going to be pretty… come back and see!

Today’s Color Challenge offering is Wenge. In my opinion, the entire composition is a perfect match for today’s gray, brooding skies and chilly gusts of late November wind.

The third-to-last color on my list is Mulberry, and I believe I have a great outfit in mind for that one. Stay tuned!

My Moss Green turned out to be a bit more olive colored than the hue the Color Challenge had posted, but sometimes you just have to slightly bend the rules when a dress is so mouthwatering and is begging to be displayed.

The next color is Wenge, a word which I actually knew the meaning of solely because my husband is a craftsman woodworker. Otherwise I wouldn’t have had a clue. Oh, the unusual things spouses learn from one another!

I went absolutely crazy at the recent sale at Sn@tch – and I was delighted to find this dress there, in a fat pack of mixed colors to boot. It’s also close enough to Brick Red to make me happy, so there you have it! Next up on the Color Challenge list is Khaki. I always like to mix khaki with light blue, but we’ll see what I can find in my ever-expanding inventory.

Beautiful flecks and hints of bronze throughout – and those boots are definitely a bronze-y brown! I declare myself satisfied with this assignment of The Color Challenge.

Oh, yes… working that Firebrick color! To be honest, I was sold on the outfit the moment I saw the veiled, feather hat. We all have our weaknesses, and feathery hats are mine. To get it in this beautiful shade of red was a bonus.

The next color on my “Color Challenge Catch Up List” is Bronze. I’m really checking them off quickly now… another week or so and I’ll cross the finish line!
